What did we do?
Changed the color scheme. Integrated author's photo. Increase visual appeal to targeted-market through Flash presentation of all books offered by publisher. Increased clarity and ease of navigation. Created balance and a better use of screen real estate. Increased importance of the offered products. Created site description and identification. Decreased the length of purchase-path by Amazon aStore creation. Improved readability through typographical changes and better text and object alignment. Created a database for author's blog with integrated comments, archives and RSS feeds. |

Screen-fold (page length) reduction from 6 to 1. Removed low resolution and visual interest level banner featuring apples and carrots and replace it with author's photo, text content and book's cover with book order function. Increase visual appeal to targeted-market. Increased importance of the offered product. Created site description and identification. Our survey showed that visitors spent over 8 seconds trying to figure out what this site was about. "Probably I can buy fruits and veggies." We decreased this identification meter to under 5 seconds. Decreased purchase-path. Improved readability through typographical changes and better text and object alignment. |

for my mother's book "Laughter Wasn't Rationed" -- primarily due to her
